QA Inspector
Location: Santa Ana, CA
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00
Shift: 1st shift M-F 8:00 AM - 4:30PM or 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Shift: 2nd shift M-F 4:15 PM - 12:45AM

POSITION SUMMARY

• Responsible for ensuring adherence to procedures.
• Monthly Reports to Quality Manager on all company KPIs and quality concerns within the facility.
• Responsible for gathering and analyzing non-conformance data within the facility and facilitating the reduction of errors.
• Reviews and reports on all items rejected. Maintains rejection warehouse.
• Maintains all unique documentation requirements for contract orders in the region as well as inspections and buy-off’s as required.
• Provides Quality training to all employees whose job function affects quality. Tracks all quality training records.
• Handles all source inspections, balloon drawings, makes appointments, escorts customer representatives within the facility and maintains paperwork.
• Assist with gathering data prior to 3rd party internal audits and annual AS9100 Certification audits.
• Facilitate the performance of root cause analysis with other departments using tools such as 8 disciplines, 5 why and fish-bone diagrams to ensure repeat errors are eliminated. In addition, assist with MRB disposition.
• Maintains quality records for the facility including calibration and inspection stamp records.
• All endeavors that need the support of the quality department to generate revenue for the company.
• Handles local customer complaints on quality issues in conjunction with Corporate Quality Manager.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to follow verbal and written English instructions
• Must be familiar with mechanical inspections tools
• Must have working knowledge of measuring devices used to measure machining and sheet metal products
• Proficient with MS OFFICE and Adobe PDF
• Knowledge with ballooning Software Discus, Net-Inspect etc… a plus
• ISO/AS9100 knowledge a plus

SKILL AND EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of 1 year as a Quality Administrator or inspector in machine shop or manufacturing environment
• Blueprint reading experience
• Aerospace industry experience a plus
• Good mechanical ability
• Skilled with technical writing
• Manufacturing: 2 years (Preferred)
