Job Description
The Quality Control Inspector will be responsible for ensuring that the products meet the specifications and strictly comply with the client's Quality Systems standards using a variety of inspection processes and lab equipment.
Regular duties include:
- Take daily samples for inspection to ensure that they meet characteristic specifications for type, color, grind, weight, recipe, production dates, and other pertinent information, and record the data in the QC electronic records system.
- Inspect the plant to confirm that all settings and identification information, including Grinder initials, silo numbers, weights, production and expiration dates, and Out-Gasses are accurately documented.
- Verify daily production sheet information, lot numbers, and batch tickets and use a scanner to check UPC and GTIN codes.
- Inspect all packaging and labeling, for production or expiration date, lot #, weight code, UPC, product name, operator number, ingredients, and weight to make sure that it matches the content.
- Test the level of oxygen or vacuum pressure of packed products.
- Test the appearance, length, width, and shape of coffee bags as well as valve placement, holes, and adhesion and enter the data into the QC electronic records system.
- Collect samples of all products and packing materials for every new installation and shift per the instructions listed on the changeover requirements.
- Conduct and document metal detection x-ray tests on the product as required.
- Inspect all machines as required at every start-up, at every changeover of the product, and every 30-60 minutes thereafter during production.
- Inform management of inconsistencies, inaccuracies, or other issues with the product promptly to avoid the production of the product and loss of raw materials.
- Complete Hold & Release forms for non-conforming products to document when they are not in compliance with product specifications.

Requirements:
- Degree or equivalent experience in food and beverage production
- 1-3 years of experience in food inspection and/or manufacturing of consumable products, or equivalent education in food science
- Knowledge of tools, measuring and weighing equipment, gauges, and other equipment common to laboratories
- Strong communication skills, math skills, and computer skills.
- Strong computer skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work flexible hours, rotating shifts, and/or overtime as required.
- Bilingual in Spanish a plus
Shifts Available:
Shifts are available from Monday - Friday, 7 a.m. - 3:45 p.m. with some overtime.

Pay Details: $20.00 per hour
