Form of workAs the Quality Control Engineer working onsite in Cleveland, OH, you will be the main point of contact for Technical, Operations, and Site Teams as well as Customers in providing support related to quality issues or questions. You will lead and assist in Quality Control projects or investigation activity. You'll also provide support on color adjustments, batch shading, product recertification, and product knowledge. You'll be the liaison between technical, production and site teams and provide guidance to site teams, production, and the quality department. You will report to the Quality Assurance Engineering Supervisor.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide 24 hour support to manufacturing and customer sites related to quality & batch issues
- Liaison between Technical, Operations, Site Teams, and Customers for multiple accounts and be the main point of contact for site teams on quality account issues
- Manage formula optimization requests to meet samples per batch metric
- Establish QC process and requirements for new codes being transferred to manufacturing
- Act as batch recertification process owner
- Recognize areas of improvement to drive cost saving and efficiency improvement
- Participate in all QC Safety directives
- Oversee and drive activity on high priority batches
- COA processing and modification
- Issue and respond to CAIR's specific to their account
- Pre-trial, trial batch, and launch support
- Investigate and support batch investigations
- Execute preventative measures for future batches
- Collaborate with CQE CAIR investigations and audits
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Science
- 3+ years of Quality Engineering experience
- Experience with shading batches and matching color for Automotive OEM customers preferred
- Currently a Green Belt or in training for Green Belt Certification
