Location/Division Specific InformationThe Technical Services Scientist position will be based at the High Point, NC facility. The High Point facility manufactures softgels for the pharmaceutical (Rx and OTC) and dietary supplement market.
Discover Impactful Work: The role will manage the life cycle for products including scale-up, technology transfer, alternate source evaluations, and validation of products from development/clients into manufacturing. The individual will coordinate the activities between Research and Development and Manufacturing.
A day in the Life:
- Technical Expert for assigned product formulations and processes. The individual will be the on-site subject matter authority.
- Leading the technology transfer and validation for products into and out of the site.
- Planning and coordinating the technical teams ensuring appropriate target dates are met.
- Daily troubleshooting, process optimization, technical review of process issues and increased efficiency via continuous improvement measures.
- Generation of protocols, reports, SOPs, batch records, technical process investigations, risk assessments, and training for production personnel.
Keys to Success: The position requires the individual to connect with cross-functional teams including internal and external customers.
Education- Ph.D. or Master in Science related field and 0-2 years of scientific experience, or
- BA/BS in Science or related field with 2-4 years of process or formulation experience which must include specific experience coordinating phase-in and Validation activities in the pharmaceutical industry, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Process or Formulation experience
- Phase-in and Validation activities in the pharmaceutical industry
- Excellent communication skills, written and oral.
- Knowledge of GMP and pharmaceutical regulations are desired.
