Quality Control

Suscon Products is currently seeking a full-time Precast Concrete Quality Control Inspector. We are seeking experienced Inspectors, as well as entry-level individuals.

Suscon Products manufactures precast concrete structural components used in earth retaining walls on construction project. These products are fabricated in a controlled environment at a precast concrete facility and then shipped to the construction jobsite for installation or erection. Precast construction has become more and more popular due to its exceptional quality, ease of installation, and cost savings.

The position is for Quality Control/Quality Assurance at our Joppa manufacturing facility, maintaining detailed inspections, and thorough documentation of a precast concrete plant’s production for government and private projects.

Job Responsibilities:

• Inspect the production of precast concrete products to verify compliance with construction contract documents (shop drawings, specifications, standards, etc.)
• Utilize standard computer software (Microsoft Word & Excel, Adobe, etc.) to generate and maintain daily technical reports
• Perform standard testing on construction materials
• Communicate with plant personnel, and plant management on a daily basis

Required Skills:

• Must be able to work construction schedules as assignment durations may vary
• Excellent work ethic, dependable, and punctual
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong computer literacy, as use of a laptop, standard office software, printers, scanners, and cameras are needed to generate daily reports
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings is a plus

Required Qualifications:

• Authorized to work in the United States of America
• Driver's license and reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications:

• ACI Field Concrete Testing Technician – Grade 1
• PCI Level I, II, or III Quality Control Technician/Inspector certification

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
