Position Summary
Responsible for overall Quality of all products produced by or for State Industrial Products. Responsible for carrying out quality assurance policies, programs and initiatives throughout the organization. Shall support operations with daily testing and non-routine formula adjustments. Shall assist other departments within the organization with technical support.
Position Responsibilities
- Support Operations with daily testing and non-routine formula adjustments
- Conduct Finished Goods and Raw Material FIFO audits to ensure proper product rotation and lifetime
- Investigate Customer Complaints
- Investigate and assign Corrective and Preventative actions both internally and with our vendors
- Maintain specifications and documents for ISO requirements
- Oversee the accuracy and relevance of ISO documents in QMS System
- Assist other departments within the organization with technical support
- Maintain data in electronic databases and our Quality Management System
- Manage departmental affairs as required or assigned by our Quality Manager or Corporate Quality Director
- Perform other duties as assigned by Quality Manager or Corporate Quality Director
Required Skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong computer skills including SAP, Intellect, Excel and Word
- Outstanding analytical and organizational skills
- Outstanding use of basic laboratory equipment
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Decision-making and problem solving skills
- Strong task and time management skills
- Experience Required
- B.S. in Chemistry or Biology
- 0-2 years in Quality Assurance/Quality Control and/or Formulation Experience
- Laboratory Job Experience
- Internal Auditing
Preferred Experience
- 2-3 Years in Quality Assurance/Quality Control and/or Formulation Experience
- Microbiological Testing Experience
- SAP Experience
- Intellect Quality Management System Experience
