1. PURPOSE OF THE JOB.
Working within the production environment to maintain a Positive Release quality system. The system uses BS6001 standards, and you will be responsible for assessing the quality of all the work you pass through the system. The job requires that you work closely with other members of all departments.
2. KEY ACTIVITIES
Adhere to the company’s GMP guidelines.
Ensure quality records are completed for every production lot.
Operate a Positive Release quality system, ensuring all checks are carried out to EPL quality standards in all areas.
Ensure the Customer receives a quality product in accordance with the Quality standards agreed and act open any deviation from those standards.
Complete any quality checks and sampling within the ISO quality system and assist in the sorting of any failed product.
Pack the tubes to the works order specification in line with the customer requirements.
To generally help out at the cell leaders request, to ensure the efficient operation of the shift.
Take responsibility for keeping the work area clean and tidy to improve housekeeping within the cell.
Participate in any continuous improvement activities in order to increase efficiency.
Liase with other team members to ensure faults are communicated and acted upon.
3. JOB DIMENSIONS.
This is a 24/7 operation. The role will involve dealing with production, re-work and customer returns; you may also be required to attend meetings with our customers. All Quality staff should be able to cover Goods In Inspection, so a flexible attitude is therefore essential.
4. KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE.
Manufacturing experience would be preferable.
A good eye for quality and attention to detail will be expected.
Team working.
Use of measuring equipment.
Knowledge of formal quality systems would be an advantage.
Previous experience of decision making would be preferable.
Computer skills.
