Form of workAs a Quality Assurance Technician, you will join our dynamic team within Richmond, VA. You will be responsible for all activities involving Quality Assurance and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements; conducts audits and reviews/analyzes data and documentation.
You will report to the Supervisor Quality Assurance. This position is seated in the Richmond, VA plant. PPG offers excellent and affordable benefits; substantial PTO, vacation, and sick time; and outstanding matching 401k plus additional retirement savings.
Key Responsibilities
Develop test sheets, report templates, and certifications by interpreting customer specifications to meet their unique requirements
Implement quality system requirements to ensure compliance and excellence in all processes
Manage the calibration system, ensuring equipment is calibrated, promptly reporting any discrepancies to management, and performing calibrations
Contribute to team goals by sharing ideas, providing assistance, and identifying ways to improve processes and conserve resources
Help procure laboratory supplies and equipment to maintain a well-equipped workspace
Prioritize laboratory safety procedures to provide a secure and efficient working environment
Participate in 5 S activities to increase workspace organization and productivity
Uphold Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements without compromise
Qualifications
One (1) year of prior quality experience in an aerospace or manufacturing environment required
Bachelor's degree in a technical or engineering field is highly preferred
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
