As a Quality Assurance Technician, you’ll be at the forefront of ensuring the excellence and consistency of our cannabis products. Your primary responsibility is to oversee the documentation and record-keeping processes within a cannabis manufacturing facility. This role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, quality standards, and internal policies by managing the review, distribution, and maintenance of all quality control related documents.
Essential Functions:
In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining product integrity, identifying deviations, and collaborating closely with production teams to address any issues promptly. Precision, attention to detail, and a commitment to upholding the highest quality standards will be essential in this role. Your key responsibilities include, but is not limited to the following:
- Document Management – Maintain an organized and up-to-date document control system for various departments within the establishment.
- Version Control – Implement and oversee version control procedures to manage changes and updates to documents.
- Distribution – Coordinate the distribution of controlled documents, ensuring compliance with internal and regulatory standards.
- Archiving – Develop and manage an efficient archiving system for historical records while ensuring accessibility for audits and inspections.
- Compliance Monitoring – Regularly audit documents to ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies.
- SOP Maintenance – Create and revise standard operating procedures (SOP’s), work instructions, and forms related to quality control activities.
- Collaborate - Communicate closely with teams to address any deviations or discrepancies identified during quality control testing.
- Conducts all duties in compliance with safety rules, applicable SOPs, and other applicable guidelines.
- Serve as a company brand ambassador to represent the brand appropriately.
- Follow and implement the company’s core values including respect, diversity, sustainability, research, and service.
- Adhere to iAnthus' cultural principles of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
- Must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older (18 in NY).
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- Must consent to a criminal background check.
- Employment offers are contingent upon successful completion of the criminal background check.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and have reliable transportation.
- Knowledge of or willingness to learn state-specific cannabis laws and regulatory compliance is non-negotiable.
- Reliability is a must.
- Meticulous organizational skills with acute attention to detail.
- Proficient in both oral and written communication.
- Computer-savvy, with a knack for quickly mastering new software.
- Able to prioritize tasks effectively and work in a heavily regulated environment.
