JOB OVERVIEW –
- Prepare, track, route and submit legal correspondence and documents such as summonses, complaints, appeals, motions, responses, pre-trial agreements and subpoenas under the supervision of an attorney or a paralegal.
- Organize and maintain law libraries, documents and case files.
- Arrange hearings, conference calls and other appointments or meetings.
- Assist attorneys by compiling information and preparing evidence for submission to courts, including documents, files and exhibits
- Perform office support functions for lawyers and paralegals including answering phones, making travel arrangements as needed, mailing and opening correspondence, ordering supplies and making copies.
- Provide customer service to legal clients and the public.
- May assist with depositions, witness statements, hearings and legal proceedings.
- Manage calendars for lawyers, hearings and briefings; providing appropriate reminders and deadlines.

QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED.
- One year of training in legal terminology or one year of experience in a legal office.
