SalaryMain Duties and Responsibilities:
- Obtains samples of the material being produced and performs the required lab tests.
- Compounds (lab blends) special or new blends of asphalt and other raw materials and tests the finished product.
- Procures raw materials for production runs.
- Fills out daily receivers for raw materials and plant supplies.
- Completes the daily and monthly inventory of raw material, finished product and seconds’ material.
- May be required to fill in, help, or assist on the line as necessary.
- Works alongside production leadership to ensure that the product being produced meets all requirements and specifications.
- Other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements
- The ability to lift up to 120 lbs.
- The ability to climb ladders.
- The ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- The ability to work in hot and humid environments (up to 115 F) for limited durations.
- May be required to stoop/bend/crouch for brief periods.
Qualifications, Required Skills and Competencies
- Math/Algebra Skills.
- The ability to work in a safe and efficient manner.
- Good communication skills.
- The ability to follow written test procedures without supervision.
- Computer skills with typical “Office” programs.
- Great attention to details.
- Ability to multitask when needed.
- Minimum2 years of Quality Control experience
- Ability to work flexible shifts including but not limited to over nights.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 – 48 per week
