JOB SUMMARY
The Quality Assurance Supervisor will lead and supervise the adherence to the quality management system (QMS). This role will be responsible for providing governance of the quality management system and help lead the implementation of the company's quality strategy both in existing programs (ISO9001) as well as potential new programs.. This position will be responsible for driving continuous improvement throughout all departments and the plant.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Applies lean and other continuous improvement techniques to develop and implement process improvement techniques aimed at increasing quality, throughput, and delivery.
• Provides leadership and guidance to members of the quality team engaged in both inspection and engineering of products produced by Cypress technologies.
• Works with team members and HR to monitor and manage training to ensure proper time has been spent growing individuals and setting them up for success.
• Aids in the management of quality resources throughout the plant as needed and create KPIs and time budgets for inspection times on all products.
• Leads document control and management of requests from production with a plan to give a prioritization to incoming workload.
• Establishes a close working relationship with all other departments in order to identify, solve and prevent problems affecting product quality.
• Performs weekly reviews of inspection data and establish reporting mechanisms to address trends.
• Works closely with the production leaders and material flow leaders to ensure the availability of inbound material.
• Participates in internal auditing for current systems as well as any new added programs for new and existing customers.
• Works closely with suppliers to flow down customer requirements.
• Establishes training procedures and lead quality training initiatives within the department and across all other departments.• Assists in the implementation of policies, operating procedures, quality systems and programs which insure proper production, inspection, and testing to meet required standards.
EDUCATION
• High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Post HS education preferred
• Minimum of 3 years quality inspection experience and two years manufacturing supervisory experience required
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
• Supervision, including employee hiring and retention, performance review and discipline Assurance
• Measurement of performance to goals and standards
• An ability to balance and achieve positive results in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, cost and employee relations
• Systems and continuous improvement orientation
• Inventory management experience
• Previous experience/knowledge of Kaizen training and work environments
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
• Ability to write reports and procedures
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients and customers
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference
• Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
