Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Drive results in department QA activities and workload to meet the goals of the company.
- Works directly with process owners to design and implement process controls, standards and inspection checkpoints for products or parts.
- Implements internal and external measurement tools to assess process performance against established standards in regards to supplier quality (i.e PPM, SCAR performance, 6 sigma capabilities, Return Rates, etc.)
- Communicates with appropriate company personnel and others as required by projects. This will include creation of detailed reports as needed.
- Facilitate and/or lead cross-functional problem solving projects on parts or processes within the company. These can be related to customer complaints, issues found during qualification testing, high return rates, and/or returned product analysis.
- Create and maintain a supplier audit system to qualify factories and build organizational structure to align quality engineers with global sourcing functions and processes.
- Maintain the company Supplier Quality Assurance Program. This includes new item documentation with vendors, assuring quality levels, corrective actions, returns reductions and creating a supplier rating system.
- Aid in the maintenance of the inspection check sheets, QC holds inventory, returns data, first article, safety and regulatory certifications, and other required documentation within the QA department.
- Aid in the integration of the QA department into other key areas of the organization, such as the new item introduction process, by identifying and implementing effective communication processes and feedback channels.
- Development of inspection protocol and Best Practices to improve inspection efficiency and effectiveness.
- Provide technical assistance in modern quality techniques and processes to cross functional departments.
- Review customer complaints and monitor returns to determine where emphasis should be placed to prevent recurrence and identify emerging trends.
- Maintain customer satisfaction and focus.
- Ensure timeliness, clarity and accuracy of all technical documentation and correspondence.

- Guide the team on a daily basis to complete and document the testing that is assigned for the week.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Quality field.
- Must be a self-starter, results driven and proven leadership ability with a demonstrated track record of performance in a professional quality department setting.
- Proficient in mechanical and electrical engineering principles. Hands-on practical experience with related HFT product offerings is desired.
- Comprehensive knowledge and experience in implementing QC processes.
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills to communicate effectively with diverse groups of people both inside and outside the company.
- Ability to communicate effectively in a global, multi-cultural, multi-time zone environment.
- Sense of urgency, collaborative team style, and ability to quickly adapt to changes in priorities with strong decision making skills.
- Written communication skills necessary for technical report writing, and strong follow-up skills.
- Strong ability to multi-task for timely project completions.
- Must be hands-on and have a strong “whatever it takes” attitude to get the job done.
- Familiar with ISO 9000 Systems and Supplier Quality Assurance Systems
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and carry out responsibilities with a minimum of direction.
- Demonstrated proficiency in problem solving tools and techniques.
- Experience dealing with Statistical Software Programs and a strong understanding of statistical measurements.
- Thorough knowledge of Poka-Yoke concepts and implementation capability.
- Experience managing quality to UL, CSA, ANSI and other regulatory standards.
- Advanced computer skills in project management, spreadsheet, database and presentation software.
Physical Requirements
General office environment requiring ability to:
- stand, walk, sit for extended periods of time
- speak and listen to others in person and over the phone
- use keyboard and read from computer screen and reports
- lift up to 50 lbs.
The candidate must be able to perform this job safely in accordance with standard operating procedures and good manufacturing practices, without endangering the health or safety of self or others.
The anticipated salary range for this position is $74,900 - $92,000 depending on location, knowledge, skills, education and experience. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition, we offer comprehensive and competitive benefits to Associates (and their families) such as medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability. Eligible Associates are able to enroll in our company's 401k plan. Associates will accrue paid time off up to 200 hours per year (inclusive of PTO, floating holidays, and paid holidays). Paid sick time up to 80 hours per year unless otherwise required by law.
