Academic Requirements: Required - 4-year bachelor's or undergraduate degree from an accredited program/university
Preferred - Graduate degree from accredited program/institution
Certifications: First aid, CPR, Emergency behavior intervention
Work Experience: Required - 4 to 6 years related experience and/or training
Preferred - 6 plus years related experience and/or training; one year experience with CARF and two years of experience in training and development
Critical Action Items & Measurable Deliverables:
1. Meet all federal and state regulatory guidelines and standards that are applicable to this position.
2. Meets all deadlines required by the program supervisor and federal partners.
3. Act as a liaison between the Quality Assurance team and program services ensuring all policy changes are interpreted, developed, trained, and implemented.
4. Work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed or requested by the position supervisor.
5. Maintain Compass Connections professional and ethical standards of conduct outlined in Compass Connections employee handbook, including demonstrating respect for agency staff, children, and community members and always complying with required dress code.
6. Participate in scheduled meetings, in-service training, and team decisions.
Other Responsibilities:
1. Provide evaluation and supportive services to programs in the residential service division in the area of medical services.
2. Review federal Portal and Agency-approved platforms for compliance with uploads requirements and updates, ensuring the well-being of minors in care.
3. Audit technical aspects of medical documentation, such as proper format, timeliness of uploads, frequency of completion, adequate spelling, naming conventions, punctuation, and grammar.
4. Maintain an audit schedule relative to the reporting needs of the Division.
5. Complete audits of federal entities Portal, and Salesforce to ensure documentation aligns with policy.
6. Provide Significant Incident Reports guidance, ensuring that significant incidents are accurate, correctly reported, and documented.
7. Assist with regular on-site audits to support program, improve documentation, and ensure compliance with minimum standards.
8. Serve as support to residential programming related to CARF, State and Federal regulations, and Compass Connections Policy.
9. Attend weekly medical meetings and National team meetings.
10. Work irregular days/hours, including nights, holidays, and weekends, depending on needs.
11. Frequently transverse from one location to another.
12. Meets all deadlines required by program supervisor and federal partners.
13.All other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements:
1. Pass a pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens throughout employment.
2. Provide proof of work eligibility status upon request.
3. Pass a pre-employment and biennial criminal background checks.
4. Demonstrate the ability to:
a. Respond sensitively and competently to the service population's cultural and socio-economic characteristics.
b. Work collaboratively with other staff members, service providers and professionals.
c. Provide crisis intervention according to training provided by Compass Connections when needed to maintain a safe environment.
d. Work in a fast-paced environment and maintain emotional control and professional composure at all times.
e. Maintain computer literacy required to meet the responsibilities of the position.
f. Work effectively and without intensive supervision both independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
5. Demonstrate a working knowledge of all Compass Connections policies and procedures.
