JOB SUMMARY:

The Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist participates in all assigned activities to assist the Medicare Services team to ensure team compliance. The QA Specialist will work closely with all other team members completing activities such as contact with Medicare Advantage Plans, internal distribution of Medicare recovery letters, and medical document proofing and formatting using Word, Excel and Adobe.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with Medicare recovery compliance through contact with Medicare Advantage Plans.
  • Assist with Medicare recovery compliance with review and distribution of Medicare Conditional Payment letters.
  • Assist with Medicare compliance communication to claims teams.
  • Assist Medicare compliance team with proofing work products.
  • Responsible for Medicare Compliance outcome tracking in Excel
  • Provides general support to nursing staff and management
  • May assist with reviewing accuracy of Medicare reporting data.
  • May assist with tracking Medicare reporting outcomes.
  • Responsible for tracking unit Medicare pricing in Excel
  • May assist Medicare Reporting team with identifying system maintenance and enhancements needs.
  • May assist Medicare Services team with daily work flow
  • May assist Medicare Services team with daily invoicing
  • May assist Medicare Service team with marketing documents and customer outreach
  • Requires punctual and consistent attendance
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance in all aspects of communications
  • Comply with all safety rules and regulations during work hours in conjunction with the Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP)
  • Additional duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications especially Word and Excel
  • Proficient in editing functions of Adobe Acrobat Professional
  • Proficient typing skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • The ability to work independently, as well as with a team
  • The ability to work in a fast paced/production environment

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and experience
  • 6 months to 1 year demonstrated Microsoft applications experience
  • 6 months to 1 year medical terminology experience

PAY RANGE:

CorVel uses a market based approach to pay and our salary ranges may vary depending on your location. Pay rates are established taking into account the following factors: federal, state, and local minimum wage requirements, the geographic location differential, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, internal employee equity, and market conditions. Our ranges may be modified at any time.

For leveled roles (I, II, III, Senior, Lead, etc.) new hires may be slotted into a different level, either up or down, based on assessment during interview process taking into consideration experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the role. The level may impact the salary range and these adjustments would be clarified during the offer process.

Pay Range: $20.65 - $33.21 per hour
