Abaco Strategy, LLC is looking for a Quality Assurance Manager. The Quality Assurance Manager will work with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to support the organization and quality initiatives to manage, maintain, and improve the corporate Quality Assurance management system. Our ISO 9001 processes are already implemented and ingrained within the company as well as have successfully passed multiple audits. So, we are looking for someone with the experience, knowledge, and skills to lead the implementation of new quality programs - ISO/IEC 27001 and CMMI – all the way from development of the necessary artifacts (processes, procedures, guideline), training of staff members, validating and auditing for internal compliance all the way through to a successful external audit / appraisal.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain corporate Quality Assurance Management System
  • Manage and maintain corporate quality manuals, standard operating procedures, processes, applying knowledge of quality standards, such as CMMI, and providing subject matter, and adoption of guidelines for process integration and product improvement.
  • Design, develop, and implement processes, plans, and procedure documents and templates.
  • Manage ongoing compliance, internal audits, audit/appraisal preparation, and external audits/appraisals for ISO 9001 and other quality standards, as applicable.
  • Analyze project assets, prepare the organization for external assessments, and ensure successful CMMI appraisals/ISO audits.
  • Lead/support quality initiative to position Abaco Strategy for gaining an appraisal for ISO/IEC 27001 and CMMI-SVC in collaboration with external auditors.
  • Maintain records of QA audits (checklists and reports) and communicate audit findings with Executive Management, Senior Management, Project Management, and Project Team Members
  • Ensure corporate quality records are current and accurate based on internal processes.
  • Manage lifecycle process improvement utilizing internal tools and application platforms items (e.g., Service Requests, Corrective Actions, Risk, and Opportunities for Improvements)
  • Conduct root cause analysis and data collection as needed to continuously improve performance and services.
  • Derive and maintain corporate quality scorecard and metrics to measure company performance and continuous improvements.
  • Support the development of the Quality Assurance content of proposals in response to government requests for proposals.
  • Summarize risk assessments from all functions, including governance related risks such as changes to the standards and external customer risks.
  • Ensure that performance and quality products conform to established company and regulatory standards. Communicates with program managers and stakeholders to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Manage and oversee the corporate Project Assets Library (PAL)
  • Develop, manage, and present internal quality training.
  • Oversee compliance and utilization of organizational and project defined process standards and methodologies.

Project Support:

  • Ensure compliance with organizational processes – tailoring to project contractual and functional requirements, identifying gaps and developing plans to close gaps.
  • Assist in the oversight of Quality Assurance surveillance plans as part of government contract awards.
  • Coordinate closely with management team on building quality and continuous improvement into project management and service delivery.
  • Identify and document non-compliance findings and work with project teams and organizational functional areas to create corrective action plans to manage non-compliances to closure.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training or work experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in managing corporate quality management system and developing and executing CMMI and ISO compliant processes.
  • 7+ years working in the IT industry, with experience in federal contracting and consulting disciplines.
  • Experience in an Agile delivery environment
  • Experience leading and maintaining ISO 9001, ISO 27001, and CMMI-SVC Level 3 programs.
  • Experience leading internal audits and supporting external ISO audits and CMMI appraisals.
  • Experience collecting, analyzing, and reporting corporate/program metrics.
  • Experience with audit report writing.
  • Experience with Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools such as Atlassian JIRA.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and implement cross-functional processes to meet internal operations requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to write quality and technical-related documents.
  • Demonstrated excellence in communication (written and verbal).
  • Proficiency in MS Office products.
  • Ability to compile data and advanced analysis.

Certifications:

  • ISO Internal Auditor (Any Standard), desired but not required.
  • Certified CMMI Associate V2.0 or higher, desired but not required.
  • Certified Scrum Master, desired but not required.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, desired but not required.
