JOB SUMMARY
The Quality Assurance Engineer, Web position at Lindblad Expeditions will play a critical role in implementing new features and functionality across the consumer-facing website. Candidates who apply for the role will have experience with manual and automated testing for front-end web applications integrating with a headless CMS as well as REST API services. A strong attention to detail with a strong understanding of industry best practices, and the ability to thrive within a collaborative team environment will be key to this role's success
DUTIES
    • Own all aspects of the Quality Assurance testing throughout the SDLC, working closely with our product, design, and engineering teams.
    • Develop Quality Assurance processes that ensure the timely delivery of quality digital products.
    • Create and maintain test automation frameworks to assist in the functional, regression, and release testing of the website.
    • Partake in the day-to-day testing activities of sprint related work, involving functional testing of tickets, writing test cases, and assisting in release and UAT activities.
    • Identify, troubleshoot, and track defects to resolution with accurate, detailed, and concise reports.
    • Assist developers in discovering and researching defects and recommend system enhancements.
    • Act as the team subject matter expert for web products.
    • When applicable, assist in the coordination of larger UAT efforts with other business units.
QUALIFICATIONS
    • 3+ years experience in web Quality Assurance/quality engineering.
    • Fundamental knowledge of Javascript, Typescript, Python, or other automated testing focused programming languages.
    • Familiar with modern automated testing platforms such as Playwright and/or Cypress.
    • Deep understanding of software testing methodologies and practices - functional testing, regression testing, acceptance testing, test design, etc.
    • Experience in test case management tools such as TestRail.
    • Experience testing GQL and/or REST JSON API's.
    • Experience testing CMS platforms.
    • Experience testing systems with ETL workflows.
    • Experience testing responsive websites - desktop, tablet, and mobile.
    • Ability to work independently as well as within a collaborative team environment.
    • Ability to articulate technical concepts and communicate effectively with other team members.
    • Understanding of modern software delivery practices.
$90,000 - $98,000 a year
This role is eligible for an annual bonus.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS 
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, talk and hear.  The employee will also be required to write and type.  The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.  

COMPENSATION STATEMENT
Lindblad Expeditions determines the pay for positions using local, national, and industry-specific survey data. We evaluate external equity and the cost of labor/prevailing wage index in the relative marketplace for jobs directly comparable to jobs within our company. Our posted salary range is based on national data and may be refined for a candidate's region/town/cost of living.

For new hires, we strive to make competitive offers allowing the new employee room for future growth. Salaries will be based on the applicant's location, level of experience, education, and specialized knowledge and skills. An employee/candidate with a stronger skill set will receive higher pay.
