HonorBridge is the largest Organ Procurement Organization in North Carolina. We partner with hospitals, transplant centers and other partners to coordinate the organ and tissue donation process. We are passionate about inspiring our community to register as organ and tissue donors and provide support to the families of those who give the gift of life.

Job Summary: The Quality Assurance Coordinator is responsible for reviewing medical documents specific to donor activity to ensure they are of the highest quality and integrity based on company policies and procedures, industry standards and government regulations. The ideal candidate possesses a meticulous attention to detail, strong communication skills, knowledge of medical terminology and a passion for building connections that save and heal lives through organ and tissue donation.

This is a hybrid position that combines both remote and in office work. Working hours are Monday -Friday 8:00am-5:00pm. This individual will also be required to work a rotating weekend schedule with a paid shift differential.

What you'll do:

  • Ensure completeness and compliance of HonorBridge medical charts.
  • Adheres to HonorBridge Quality Assurance procedures.
  • Ensures accuracy of HonorBridge charts to source documents and forms
  • Verifies accuracy of electronic chart stored in HonorBridge donor databases.
  • Communicates deviations and variances to the Quality Systems Supervisor
  • Acts as a technical consultant for Quality Assurance issues
  • Assists the Manager of Quality Systems in maintaining company compliance with HonorBridge policies and procedures, industry standards, and governmental regulations.
  • Performs internal compliance checks.
  • Assists in the assurance of departmental regulatory compliance.
  • Monitors and evaluates the department for efficiency.
  • Assists the Manager of Quality Systems in writing and revising policies and procedures.
  • Reviews and assists in resolving clinical staff errors
  • Performs periodic (monthly & semi-annually) data quality checks for regulatory agencies (AOPO OPTN ).
  • Performs monthly data exports to regulatory agencies (OPTN).
  • Submits periodic development plans, including issues, goals, and strategies, to manager.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What You'll Bring:

  • An Associate degree with a concentration in healthcare or science preferred with two years' experience in healthcare. Or bachelor's degree with a concentration in healthcare or science preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in customer service and administrative background. Experience working in the medical field with knowledge of medical terminology strongly preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to learn and assimilate new and varied information quickly and efficiently.
  • Proficient with Microsoft office (excel, outlook, word), adobe and data-entry software.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret data.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask multiple priorities simultaneously, while adhering to strict deadlines.
  • Experience in form completion and documentation.
