Job Description:
The Quality Assurance Weighmaster work under the direct supervision of the QA Manager to provide primary quality assurance support to the production departments.
The Weighmaster calculates and weighs all raw materials for accuracy before releasing them to the production departments.
This position must comply with the regulatory requirements set forth by the Federal Drug Administration (FDA), United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and internal guidelines.
This position requires the ability to work effectively and efficiently to handle schedule changes and daily multi-tasking.
This position requires the ability to follow all standard operating procedures (SOP) as well as current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
60% - QA weighing raw materials | 15% QA inventory | 10% QA equipment maintenance | 5% Back-Up to QA Inspector and Auditor
Candidate will work in a team of 2 people for this group
Assists with the daily weighing of the raw materials
Performs tracking and monitoring functions within a computer system
Documents all inconsistencies with raw material weight
Conducts the cleaning of the weigh room, scales and other weigh equipment
Performs the daily verifications of weigh room scales
Monitors raw material expiration dating
Transfers released raw materials into weigh room warehouse
Provides secondary support for the Quality Assurance Inspector for line clearance and inspection
Provides secondary support for the Quality Assurance Auditor for production batch record issuance
Other duties assigned as needed
Must Haves:
1 year of warehouse, material handling experience preferred
Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite and E-mail
Must be able to utilize basic math and science concepts
High School diploma or GED
