ABOUT THE POSITION
The Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for the planning and execution of testing activities within the Technology Enablement Software Engineering team. The role requires an in-depth knowledge of Quality Assurance practices and the system's development life cycle. Although this hybridh role could be located in multiple VHB office locations; we have a preference for someone to work out of our Orlando, FL office.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Defines test strategy, tools, processes, and timelines for Quality Assurance of new and existing projects and products
- Works collaboratively with the development teams to establish the process for clear and efficient operations and communications related to overall QA process
- Participates in the definition and implementation of best practice for QA processes, practices, and toolsets
- Works with project team members to ensure business requirements and/or feature documents are clear, concise, traceable, and testable
- Executes test plans, documents result and engages team to address issues
- Keeps up to date with and implements industry best practices
Minimum Qualifications
- 2+ years of software engineering QA experience
- BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent discipline
Skills & Knowledge
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Highly motivated, energetic, thorough, detail oriented, and able to multi-task
- Understanding of industry-specific Quality Assurance requirements and regulations
- Experience managing, updating, and testing business requirements
- In depth knowledge of testing concepts, phases, and types of testing
- Extensive experience developing and executing test scripts and test cases at the required level of detail for each project/feature request
- Project experience with UFT or similar automation testing software
- Hands on experience with Jira Xray or similar testing management software
