Job Description
Quetica is partnering with the Department of Public Safety, Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) is seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst to work in the Minnesota Justice Information Services (MNJIS) section of the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA).
At a high level, the resource will work on multiple initiatives including the Predatory Offender Registry (POR), MyBCA (a secure criminal justice portal), and other products as needed. The delivery of the work follows the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) standards, processes, and procedures.
The work is expected to be done in a hybrid manner. The resource will follow BCA’s hybrid approach, currently requiring a minimum of 2 days in the office. This is subject to change. 1430 Maryland Avenue, St. Paul, MN 55106.
Minimum Qualifications- Four (4) years of experience performing IT Quality Assurance and testing functions
- Three (3) years of experience in Agile SDLC
Anticipated Project Start Date: February 1, 2024
Anticipated Project End Date: January 31, 2026
- Experience in software Quality Assurance/Quality Control methodologies, process, and technologies with respect to manual, automation, smoke, functional, integration, accessibility, and performance/stress testing areas.
- Proven ability to collaborate, work effectively as part of a team, and establish and maintain working relationships with all levels of stakeholders, business, and technology staff.
- Experience in a development or testing effort built with Bootstrap framework, or ability to relate testing experience in a similar web/mobile development framework
- Experience in manual and automated testing which includes the ability to identify appropriate tests suitable for automation, creating automated tests from scratch, executing automated tests, identifying and correcting errors in automated tests, and reporting on results using tools such as Jira/Xray.
- Experience with program languages and software development technologies such as, JAVA, .NET, and SQL.
- Experience with web services testing with SoapUI using REST and SOAP APIs.
- Experience working with Law Enforcement or Criminal Justice Systems.
- Participate in formal review of business/functional requirements and application design
- Prepare a Test Plan
- Determine the types of testing that will be implemented
- Design and document test cases
- Identify and communicate test requirements
- Identify and prepare test data
- Execute test cases
- Analyze, report, help troubleshoot and resolve test failures
- Report overall test status and results
- Report and log defects found as a result of the test execution
- Perform other testing tasks as may be required by the project
- Provide knowledge transfer
