Software Quality Assurance Analyst

The Software Quality Assurance Analyst will act as subject matter expert regarding the development of testing methodologies, requirements and the creation of test plans for software applications; verifying that the applications meet the requirements that guided its design and development, works as expected, satisfies the needs of stakeholders and passes visual standards.

Responsibilities

· Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback

· Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases

· Proficient in testing best practices, methodology, tools and various types of testing, manual and automated, functional (e.g., functional testing, system integration testing, regression testing and user acceptance testing) and non-functional testing (e.g., performance, load, etc.)

· Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs

· Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and help provide solutions

· Facilitate the defect management and triage process for assigned projects.

Required Experience

· 3+ years of relevant QA technical experience

· Knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes

· Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) needed

· Significant experience with back-end inspection and DB validation, positive and negative testing, functional tests, and end-to-end tests.

· Experience in writing clear and comprehensive test plans and test cases

· Experience with both white box and black box testing

· Experience with web application testing

· Expertise in database testing in Microsoft SQL Server environments

· Strong critical thinking skills, an analytical mind, and problem-solving aptitude

· Demonstrated ability to work on concurrent projects, activities and tasks under time constraints.

· Automated testing experience a plus using such tools as Selenium or Microsoft Test Manager.

· Experience working in an Agile development process a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $73,000.00 per year
