```Job Overview```

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quality and Process Engineer to join our team. Quality & Process Engineer is a crucial role in ensuring the safe, predictable, reliable, and sustainable operation of Kinetic pressure control processes and facilities. The responsibilities of this role covers various facets including managing the Quality Assurance program including QMS system & controls management, Safety Management, Quality documentation management, Internal & External Audits management, critical to quality non-conformance management and corrective & preventive action program management, supporting company training program, conducting and/or coordinating comprehensive risk assessments during the full production life cycle, defining process safety and quality risk mitigation and reduction strategies, implementing safety and quality protocols, ensuring compliance to the relevant legislation and company standards, promoting best practices, evaluating and recommending competency and training requirements, and serving as an advocate to instil a robust Quality and safety focused culture and discipline within Kinetic. Beyond supporting the implementation and upkeep of business specific Quality and Safety management system (QHSE), the Quality & Process Safety Engineer provides crucial assurance that all process safety and quality risks associated with Operations and support areas are continuously managed at acceptable level. Given the cross-functional nature of the position, the Quality Process & Safety Engineer must collaborate effectively within a multi-disciplinary team. This role is considered a pivotal point and entity for quality, safety, operations, engineering, purchasing, supply chain and maintenance activities.

Core Role and Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the establishment and maintenance of business Quality and Safety management system.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain business specific Quality and Safety procedures/protocols ensuring alignment with relevant standards as well as local/regional regulations.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, supply chain, management teams to ensure process Quality and safety risk management measures meet or exceed the requirements set out in the Kinetics’ Quality and Safety Management system.
  • Manage and participate as an active member in the development and review of documentation related to ISO, API, OSHA or any other business applicable rules and regulations.
  • Lead and support projects related to QHSE areas from initiation to successful and timely completion with result oriented, qualitative, and quantitative benefits/improvements.
  • Collect critical to Quality and safety data and conduct data analysis for trend and issues identification as well as resolution plan development and implementation.
  • Facilitate compliance with company and state requirements for both Quality and Safety requirements.
  • Coordinate and participate in company’s internal and external audits as per the required standards.
  • Participate and coordinate in identifying, evaluating HSE Hazards/risks, recommend measures to reduce them and support in execution of corrective measures to ensure hazards/risks are being addressed with either elimination or minimization through various safety controls.
  • Track and monitor actions arising from risk assessments, compliance audits, incident investigations & continuous improvement or gap closure plans.
  • Facilitate and support company’s management of change (MOC) process.
  • Assist team in Preventive Maintenance Management program including fixed and movable assets.
  • Lead or take part in process Quality and safety workplace inspections, audits, and reviews to assess compliance to Kinetic standards and to provide assurance of the effectiveness of agreed actions taken in response to process Quality and safety activities, e.g., NCRs, CPIs, incident investigations, etc.
  • Assist operations to prepare for compliance and or external audits. This involves collecting information, assisting with organizing and planning, follow up and tracking the status of corrective actions.
  • Oversee the gathering and Processing of monthly Quality and Safety KPI data. Construct KPI report, outlining leading and lagging metrics and the necessary justifications. Do trend analysis and guide business on potential focus areas.
  • As a subject matter expert, advise and influence site operations management on how to improve process Quality and safety performance (plans, targets, lessons learned, best practices, etc.). Assist with the development of a site-specific continuous improvement plan and track adherence to plan.
  • Ensure that process Quality and safety incident learnings (i.e., internal, or external) are fully and sustainably embedded within the site-specific process Quality and safety program.
  • Contribute to the site emergency response and preparedness program.

Specialized responsibilities

  • Coordinate and or conduct specialized or advanced process Quality and safety studies (e.g., Design of Experiment (DOE), consequence assessments, quantitative risk assessments (QRAs), hazardous area classification (HAC), SIL verification, etc.) where required in accordance with relevant industry best practice.
  • Conduct assurance verifications on specialized or advanced process Quality and safety studies to ensure it meets the necessary quality criteria.
  • Support the other engineering disciplines (i.e., mechanical, process, electronics, electrical, instrumentation, etc.) with the interpretation of relevant recognized and good engineering practice (RAGAGEPs) to ensure good engineering design especially as it relates to engineering safeguards.
  • Contribute to process Quality and safety training material development and the delivery of related training.
  • Assure operational readiness for new projects by reviewing and providing input into key engineering project design documentation and actively participate in engineering reviews.
  • Actively participate in Project start up and on-going meetings and execution representing Quality and safety matter of expert and support the project execution ensuring meeting of company’s safety and quality parameters.
  • Stay abreast with the relevant regulatory framework developments and collaborate with regulatory agencies during inspections to demonstrate adherence to the relevant process Quality and safety standards and legislation.
  • Key point of contact for all process Quality and safety matters and provide subject matter input into job safety analyses or task risk assessments.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

ESSENTIAL

  • A bachelor’s degree in science or engineering with a strong technical background (preferably Mechanical, Electronics, Process Safety, or Industrial Engineering)

OR

  • An associate degree with relevant work experience in the oil and gas manufacturing industry (preferably Quality Assurance/Quality Control focused)

Minimum Experience

  • 8 years of total experience (Bachelor’s) with at least 5 years manufacturing experience (Oil & Gas Industry experience a plus)'

OR

  • 5 years total experience (Master’s) with at least 3 years manufacturing experience (Oil & Gas Industry experience a plus)

OR

  • 3 years total experience (PhD) with at least 2 years manufacturing experience (Oil & Gas Industry experience a plus)

OR

  • 10 years of total experience (Associate) with 5 years manufacturing experience (Oil & Gas Industry experience a plus)
  • Working knowledge of specific industry standards and regulations API Q1, ISO 9001 & ISO 45001 is ideal.
  • Firsthand experience with leading and supporting internal and external audits.
  • Acquainted with usual business suites (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

DESIRABLE

  • A post-graduate degree in Science / Engineering is advantageous.
  • Professional certification in Quality Engineering is desirable.
  • Professional certification in Process Safety Management or Engineering is beneficial.
  • Work experience in oil and gas manufacturing industry is beneficial.
  • Track record of success working in energy related company.
  • Working knowledge and /or proficiency in the application of the relevant legislation and industry recommended best practices related to Quality and Safety (QHSE) management system such as following but not limited to:

ISO, API, ASME, IEC, ASTM, ANSI, ASNT, AWS

  • Superior oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to think creatively.
  • OSHA Certifications a plus
