JOB TITLE
Job Title (Job code): CARP Quality Test Engineer
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Partner with Process Industrial Quality Manager (PIQ) to design and deploy Quality Control Plan to support an external demerit at 0 for Alstom Customer and the ZERO DEFECT PROGRAM.

MAIN RESPONSABILITIES
Accountability & Authorities
  • Develop and deploy processes, tools & quality standards with industrial teams.
  • Manage Quality activities related to digital tools: GSI, QES & AOS.
  • Deliver training for Quality teams to Industrial Quality Standards.
  • Manage activity related to car history book (Traceability, configuration, ...).
  • Perform Workstation audits planning, ensure follow-up & management of relevant action plans.
  • Manage when needed the metrology activity and monitor external provider of calibration.
  • Manage the quality methods team if relevant.
  • Manage APSYS improvement plan for Industrial Quality scope.
  • Conduct tests and review work to ensure installations and maintenance meet quality and regulatory standards as applied to electronic/ electrical/ telecommunication installations.
  • Provide directions & support to wayside personnel who maintain wayside electrical, electronic and communication systems. Assist with second/third level repairs and troubleshooting skills development.
  • Analyse & evaluate wayside systems performance levels & make recommendations for hardware/software changes and for prototype and documentation of such changes.
  • Prepares reports and participates in meetings with Maintenance and Operations staff and the client. Compiles detail reports on the performance of the vehicles and wayside systems.

Performance measurements
  • Quality documentation deployed at the pre-series / serial start stage.
  • Metrology activity: Zero tools of control / manufacture in delay of control.
  • Activity audits: 100% of the audits carried out in the year according to planning defined.
  • Dashboard deployed and up to date.
  • APSYS measurement for the Industrial Quality Road Map.

MAIN REQUIRED COMPETENCES
Educational Requirements
Mandatory:
  • Graduated from Technical and/or Quality and/or Engineering degree
  • Advocate & leverage digital capabilities.
  • Strong Microsoft Office Background Required
  • Ability to pass local DFW airport background check requirements.

Desirable:
  • Continuous Improvement / Six Sigma Background Preferred

Experience
Mandatory:
  • Processes knowledge on Quality and at industrial level
  • Emerging management experience

Desirable:
  • 5 years experiences in Industrial
  • Project management or equivalent
  • Quality auditor

Competencies & Skills
  • Autonomous
  • Technical mastering of railway products
  • Data analytics, savvy with ERP & data visualization
  • International mindset & fluent in English.
  • Ability to work in a matrix organization.
