How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
To assist the Quality and Compliance Manager in maintaining compliance for Airgas National Carbonation
Job Profile:
This position will be responsible for supporting all applicable regulatory, compliance and Airgas' established quality standards in a dynamic environment. Included in the scope for this role will be supporting required: reporting, investigations, follow-up, and customer incidents involving Airgas supplied products. This position will support efforts to design and implement training and procedural control for product testing and equipment maintenance. This position will be responsible for ensuring that facility and product audits are performed in order to assess individual compliance with Airgas' SOPS to include all applicable local jurisdictional codes, State and Federal government laws or policies, as well as any regulatory agency requirements that apply to our business. This position will specialize in organizing and monitoring quality systems and functions within the supply chain and offers training and suggestions to improve overall quality performance, while complying with all regulatory agencies and requirements including, but not limited to OSHA, NIOSH, NFPA, NBIC, FDA, DOT, ISO, GFSI and Airgas regulations, policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Essential Duties and Accountabilities:

  • Maintain both routine and specialized audits
  • Assist in the event of an internal or external audit or procedural compliance issue.
  • Investigate by using tools such as Root Cause Analyses to report findings and corrective actions to address audit findings.
  • Ensure FDA, GFSI, Food & Beverage, and CGA Quality and procedural compliance
  • Assist as required the training of ANC associates in areas of quality, regulatory compliance, and QA concerns
  • Ensure compliance with Airgas' safety programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Work with the Leadership team to implement consistent, standardized processes and policies where appropriate.
  • Coach and guide associates and managers regarding Quality and Compliance issues.
  • Work closely with the operations group to ensure installation activities are performed in a manner consistent with Quality and Compliance with applicable company policies and regulatory considerations.
  • Prepare customer, state, federal, and local quality reports as required.
  • Complete customer Quality surveys as required.
  • Support customer complaint investigations and responses when required.
  • Support the continuation of quality control objectives.
  • Capable of writing and reviewing procedures
  • Apply total quality management tools and approaches to analytical and reporting processes

  • Degree; or, equivalent relevant experience preferred
  • Basic knowledge of analytical instrumentation for analysis of gaseous samples.
  • Demonstrated ability as a highly motivated individual.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Must be able to work with diverse people with different personalities and backgrounds.
  • Knowledge of government regulations as they apply to the compressed gas industry.
  • Ability to read and comprehend safety data sheets.
  • Ability to follow instructions and procedures.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organization, documentation and follow-up skills.
  • Computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google suites.
  • Ability to delegate authority and/or task responsibility to appropriate people
  • Ability to work at a sustained pace and produce quality work.
  • Ability to influence others to perform their jobs effectively and to be responsible for making decisions.
  • Ability to reach outcomes that gain the support and acceptance of all parties.
  • Excellent Time Management skills
