Quality Analyst

Salary: $20.50

The Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible to find and address quality issues, perform audits and implementation of corrective actions and process FAs according to the documented process. This position is also responsible for leading the Quick Response team to root cause issues found in the process and help drive corrective actions.

This is not a remote work setting, this is an on-site position.

Shift: Monday - Thursday 7:00am - 5:30pm (10-hour shifts)

• Drive improvements within the team and ensuring quality processes are followed.
• Willing to work different shifts to help headcount and process control.
• Drive Corrective Actions and ensure actions are effective.
• Other activities or projects as directed by Superior Sr. Management Team.
• Able to train on understanding of quality standards.
• Log, support, and determine product non-conformances & discrepancies including product disposition utilizing Superior WMS platforms.
• Support the FA (First Article) process including product set-up information & sample analysis.
• Audit product for BOM accuracy against specifications/requirements/data in either printed or electronic format.
• Create natives and end items as needed to support product updates or changes.
• Address inbound receipt discrepancies and provide follow up as required with applicable Superior departments.
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards, and dispose of trash.
• Follow ISO/TL9000 requirements as it pertains to position.

Inspects and Qualifies the Configuration of End-Items

• Verify, update and maintain end-items based on customer requirements.
• Communicate with Production to understand if additional work instructions or images are needed for MOA.
• Serves as a liaison with Production, Packaging and Program Management.
• Ensures deadlines are met by completing FA's and all necessary assembly info effectively and promptly.
• Identify ways to improve processes for increased accuracy and efficiency.
• Designates appropriate carton and pallet configurations and ensures that documentation is approved by Production.
• Assists in the gathering of products and mock-up packaging materials for presentation to internal and/or external customers as required.

Packaging and Assessment

• Chooses, assesses, and approves packaging for products from the perspectives of the customer, marketing, production, and procurement.
• Works with the PMG team to understand and meet customer packaging requirements; and to align customer expectations with Superior capabilities.
• Tests product in package, noting special instructions related to particular components or positioning, and ensuring that these requirements can be met; prints and affixes labels.
• Assists in providing creative solutions for meeting customer requirements using available resources including overstock or existing materials, and existing Production equipment.
• Understands & serves as the primary liaison to Production on carton & pallet requirements, including ability to read & write to carton & pallet configuration software.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position works in a warehouse/distribution center setting, with some outdoor exposure during the workday.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and can be loud. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and standard warehouse equipment such as hand trucks, box cutters and tape dispensers.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and maneuver around pallets. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Must be able to climb a ladder and retrieve stock.

Physical Demands

The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The employee must be able to lift, and/or move objects at least 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to climb a ladder or get on a scissor lift without limitation; may be lifted to 30-foot-high ceilings.
