Distinguishing Characteristics of Work: The Qualified Supervisor is responsible for providing clinical supervision to MSW and/or MHC therapists, Registered MSW/MHC interns, and University BSW and MSW student interns.
Essential Job Functions:
I. Provide clinical supervision:
1. For registered interns, working toward licensure, in accordance with the FL Board of SW, MHC, MFT. a. maintain documentation of supervision utilizing HPS Policies and Procedures for supervision b. maintain documentation and communication with the FL Board of SW, MHC,
MFT.
2. For therapists with a MSW degree, in accordance with HPS Policy. a. Maintain documentation of supervision according to HPS Policies and Procedures for supervision.
3. For college student interns in BSW, MSW programs, in accordance with University
Departments of Social Work requirements. a. Communicate with Universities to arrange placement of interns b. Schedule training and orientation for interns. c. Complete midterm and final evaluations of interns.
II. Related job functions:
1. knowledge of DSM V diagnoses, Evidence-based Interventions
2. familiarity with Medicaid guidelines, as well as University guidelines
3. ability to work with other agencies and universities
4. understanding of and familiarity with psychotropic medications
5. confidentiality
6. knowledge of EMR and Telehealth

Minimum education, training and experience
1. Masters Degree from accredited university with a major in social work
AND
2. A minimum of two years’ experience in clinical supervision
3. Have completed Florida Certification Board requirements for Qualified Supervisor for Clinical Social Work/Mental Health Counseling.
4. Be a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)/LMHC.
