A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A RESTAURANT GENERAL MANAGER
As our District Manager you’ll be the face of our company and brand in our local communities and with guests of 5-7 locations. You’ll oversee the full daily restaurant operations of 5-7 locations in one geographic area. With strong attention to detail, you’ll oversee the planning, training, and execution necessary to achieve stated objectives in sales, cost budgets, employee retention, guest service and satisfaction, food quality, cleanliness and sanitation. Our District Manager is integral in connecting our individual location teams with directions and objectives of the upper level management team to ensure operational success and to execute upon standards.
The District manager is responsible and accountable for the following duties (not intended to be all inclusive or restrictive; other duties may be assigned as necessary):
- Ownership of financial statements including P&L, ensure labor, purchasing, and controllables are within company guidelines to maximize profits.
- Oversee hiring and the performance, development, and retention of employees through engagement, training, feedback, and coaching.
- Manage labor and staff schedules in accordance with business volume to operate efficiently
- Ensure the highest quality product and service standards are maintained with guests
- Execute all administrative tasks and duties, maintain compliance with payroll and human resources
QUALIFICATIONS
- A team player with a hospitality first mentality and a willingness to learn
- Positive attitude and excellent communication and leadership skills
- Proficient in the following areas of restaurant functions: Scheduling, company policies and procedures, personnel management, basic POS and Computer systems knowledge
- Two years restaurant management experience preferred, but we will train the right candidate who shows a willingness to learn.
- Ability to stand, walk and lift heavy items for extended periods of time
