Job Summary:

Ensure quality of the products while maintaining the safety of the food and employee is the highest priority of Sabrosura Foods. A Utility operator's duties are to assist the supervisor/lead in day-to-day operations to fulfill orders that are scheduled with speed and accuracy. The utility operator works in a team environment where communication is imperative. There are many different machines, product and packaging used on a daily basis; learning and applying these skills to different types of product packaging is key.

Job Responsibilities:

• We are looking for a Quality Control Technician for our location in Vernonwho will be ensuring the safety and quality of the products we manufacture and distribute.
• This position will work closely with production lines to ensure the product meets quality and Safety standards.
• This position involves a combination of visually monitoring various aspects of plant operations, or physically obtaining samples to send them to the lab.
• Monitoring quality parameters may include process times and temperatures/pH/Water activity.
• Must be able to report to QA Manager of any quality issues in a very timely manner.
• Conduct sanitation inspection on a pre-operational and operational inspections.
• Assisting with creating SOPs for QA procedures.
• Assist in the maintenance of the hold area.
• Continuously improve plant GMP's through regular audits of the plant.
• Provide quality improvement education to the workforce through training.
• Be familiar with HACCP monitoring programs or plans.
• Monitor and verifying control points, measure and record all QC data on QC forms and observations. Control of fill and net weights.
• Perform cuttings of all finished products and maintain results of cuttings.
• Monitor the packing materials and labels for compliance to company and government standards.
• Must be able to maintain communication to all departments to ensure the Quality of product is executed on a daily basis.
• Assist and or support validation study protocols.
• Assist in audits by regulatory agencies and or third-party audits.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Maintain a safe work environment for all employees.
• Must be knowledgeable in Microsoft office (Excel, word, outlook).
• Must be bilingual (English and Spanish)

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED required.

Physical Requirements:

• Moderate degree of physical activity on a frequent basis
• Constant rotation of job duties every couple hours
• Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
• Repetitive standing, walking, bending, twisting, stooping, grasping, climbing, reaching, and moving about the facility

• Hearing ability to meet manufacturing facility safety requirements
• Works in high noise area and wears the appropriate hearing protection
• Vision abilities include close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception
• Able to work a multi shift environment
• Will be required to work around spices and meat ingredients as part of the daily activities
• Exposed to cold (40)/ heat/ humidity
