Job Description
SUMMARY
This position supervises all aspects of the Quality Control department to include the testing and inspect of both raw material and finished products, reject products that do not meet the required guidelines and to inspect PVC pipe at various stages to ensure conformance to specifications by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Assure that all pipes meet all applicable specifications and manufacturing standards through finished goods inspection and ensure that all applicable test procedures are being conducted.
· Documents and control documentation of results on all tests performed during shift.
· Proficient with hand held bar coding equipment in producing labels for new, combining, and adjusting quantities to units.
· Responsible to report quality issues to the Production department, MOS and/or Plant Manager.
· Train and assist new line operators and QC Technicians on required tools and how to use them. Train on the AS400 bar-coding procedures and equipment.
· Assists in the production area to identify and correct product process problems.
· Have ability to investigate complaints regarding quality and/or performance of product and maintain all documentation and samples. Send all results to JM Eagle HQ Quality Assurance Department.
· Coordinate the maintenance of testing equipment and facilities.
· Maintain and update manuals and records of required testing procedures and their requirements

Directly supervises employees in the department. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Must have a complete knowledge of all employees job duties and capable of performing each of them when required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Have High School education or equivalent. Five years experience with product production and working with QC Department.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Possess intermediate knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook. Internet/Intranet experience preferred.

Perform all work safely and with the utmost concern for the safety of self and other employees. Maintain their designated work spaces in a clean, safe and timely manner in compliance with the plants THM/Safety policy.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. This position is in an office/plant environment where the employee will frequently be exposed to year round weather conditions, fumes and/or airborne particles and moving mechanical parts. The employee will on occasion be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the office environment is usually quiet, however noise levels in the plant are usually loud, proper personal protective equipment will be worn in given plant areas and when essential job function necessitate.
