Compensation: $25.00 - $25.00 per hour

Skookum is seeking a reliable and motivated QC Safety Specialist I with a positive attitude.
Typical duties include but are not limited to:
- Assist in development, implementation, and monitor quality and safety programs to ensure compliance with contractual, federal, state, and local requirements.
- Assist with performing inspections on completed work orders and documentation to ensure final product meets quality specifications.
- Assist with reviewing maintenance documents, historical files, and inspection records to note any trends or recurring discrepancies for initiating corrective action plans.
- Assist with ensuring all SOPs and ISO processes are meeting contractual and company guidelines.
- Assist with preparation of the monthly Safety and Quality dashboard report inputs.
- Maintain professionalism in both appearance and demeanor.
- Assist with developing site-specific safety/ health and environmental training elements.
- Understand, communicates and trains employees to the ISO process and is able to facilitate and lead ISO process documentation and process improvements.
- Assist with conducting audits and maintenance of ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
- Assist with conducting accident/incidence investigations.
- Assist with training employees to the Safety/Environmental process and is able to facilitate and lead Safety process documentations and process improvements.
- Assist with writing and reviewing Activity Hazard Analysis (AHA).
Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in Quality Control and/or Safety
- National Safety Council – Safety Professional Certification
- 24-hour HAZWOPER Course
- 40 Course Hours for OSHA
- Knowledge of industry safety standards
Physical Requirements:
Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance. The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.
- Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required.
- Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.
Requirements:
- A valid state driver’s license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Skookum’s insurance.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access. A background check and E-Verify will be conducted for this position.
