Qc Chemist

Description:

• The Quality Control Chemist uses wet chemical and instrumental methods to analyze samples of products and raw materials.
• The QC Chemist interprets the results, and for many products, specifies adjustments which optimize product conformance to specifications.
• The QC Chemist also analyzes SPC and SQC data and makes recommendations for process improvements.
• In support of our ISO 9000 program, the QC team performs instrument and solution calibrations and maintains calibration, product and raw material quality records.
• The QC Chemist will collect samples from manufacturing process batches and conduct qc testing in the labs, collect data and make entries of quality data into SAP, ensuring minimal interruption in processing flow.
• The QC Chemist is knowledgeable about properties and hazards of the chemicals, products and test methods they perform and keeps the lab clean and orderly to maximize safety.
• Additionally, the QC Technician is responsible for acting as supervisor when required. Additional responsibilities may be assigned by management.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Chemistry Laboratory
• HPLC or Chromatography experience a plus
• Bachelor Degree in Chemistr or related field
• or AS Degree with 1+ year of chemistry lab experience in industry
