Job Summary:
In this role, you will work in our quality control lab as our Chemist on 3rd Shift.
Key Responsibilities:
Developing and preparing personal care.
Understanding the needs and restrictions from the customer and develop formulas accordingly
Preparing Specifications for all products developed.
Maintaining laboratory notebook, including critical processing details and observations
Multi-tasking to handle 10 projects a week.
Monitoring batch shelf-life stability.
Calibrating and validating all lab equipment.
Conducting and tracking all required performance and stability tests, interprets, records and reports results.
Up to date with industry and consumer trends.
A working knowledge of the global regulatory requirements.
Perform other duties as needed or assigned.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in science, Chemistry preferred.
1-5 years lab/formulation experience.
Knowledge of Access, Excel, Word, CTFA and AS400.
Attention to detail, organization, and multi-tasking skills.
Technical knowledge of chemicals and their functionality to develop and prepare personal care.
Knowledge and use of a pH meter, pychno-meters, mixers, hotplates.
Ability to understand processing procedures, fill weights, formula cost implications, ingredient lists, and OTC products to be well rounded in the capacity of formulation skills.
Knowledge of OTC guidelines/monographs; Global formulation skills.
