Responsibilities:
- Plan, design, and execute manual test cases and scenarios to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of web applications.
- Identify, document, and track defects through to resolution, working closely with development teams to prioritize issues.
- Conduct thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved and participate in release testing to ensure high-quality deployments.
- Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
- Collaborate with the product and development teams to understand product vision and requirements, ensuring test plans and cases reflect user needs and business objectives.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum meetings, including planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups, to ensure quality is considered throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Lead the creation and maintenance of test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and testing reports.
- Mentor junior QA team members, providing guidance on best practices in manual testing strategies and techniques.
- Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies to improve the manual testing process.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in manual testing, specifically with web applications.
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes, with a solid understanding of different testing phases and approaches.
- Experience with manual testing tools and techniques, including exploratory testing, regression testing, and user acceptance testing.
- Ability to create clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams.
- Strong organizational skills, with the capability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Required Skills:
- Familiarity with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to understand web application testing requirements.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and databases to validate data integrity and perform backend testing.
- Experience with issue tracking and project management tools such as JIRA.
- Understanding of version control systems like Git to collaborate with development teams effectively.
- Knowledge of browser developer tools to assist in testing and troubleshooting issues.
