Knowledge and experience normally acquired through, or equivalent to, the completion of a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of job related experience. Strong experience in QA Automation/end to end system integration in Java and other scripting languages (C, PHP, Perl, Unix with preferred KSH). Strong experience in user interface, integration, and batch backend processing. Strong experience with developing, maintaining, and running automated testing tools. Strong working knowledge with automated test frameworks. Good development/scripting skills in common languages like Java, Perl, PHP, C, C++ etc. Good database scripting/query skills, mainly in Oracle. Good experience with different Operating Systems, with emphasis on Linux Unix, and Windows. Good understanding of object oriented programming, JEE architecture, .NET, etc. Good understanding of IP networking, protocols such as HTTP and HTTPS, firewalls, routers, etc. Experience in Agile testing methodologies. Comfortable working on multiple tasks simultaneously and able to be flexible and adaptable in a changing environment. Must be well organized and self-motivated and be able to work with minimal supervision. Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communications skills. Team player with a selfless attitude.
Principal Accountabilities: Interact with product management, project management and development teams to develop a strong understanding of the project and testing objectives. Design and create test conditions and scripts to address business and technical use cases. Use existing tools and techniques to execute test cases and build/script new tools for performing testing/validation function. Develop and lead the automation strategy/effort and generate scripts to perform automated testing cycles. Work with QA team members to thoroughly test all portions of product UI, internal and external reporting and alerting, advanced product features as well as command-line capabilities. Participate in troubleshooting and triaging of issues with different teams to drive towards root cause identification and resolution. Execute and analysis automation test results. Document, track and escalate issues as appropriate.
