Job Description
The Quality Assurance Specialist prepares product specific inspection plans and instructions for each platform in production. This individual works with quality control to improve inspection techniques, validation methodology, and troubleshooting protocol.
Essential Functions:
- Verify and ensure the adherence of aircraft products to required specifications and expectations to track and resolve deficiencies prior to product release.
- Work with the engineering team to define and/or refine quality requirements for assigned aircraft products.
- Regularly review manufacturing processes and recommend quality controls, improvements, and related inspections to production leads.
- Develop QA processes, documentation and related checklists.
- Work with Configuration Manager to develop and maintain technical data as required.
- Prepares product specific inspection plans and instructions for each platform in production.
- Performs process audits to ensure continual compliance on the production floor and develops processes/procedures as needed when gaps are identified.
- Works with quality control to improve inspection techniques, validation methodology, and troubleshooting protocol.
- Monitors nonconformance trends, administers root cause investigations, and develops corrective and preventative action plans.
- Works with suppliers to improve product quality and implement receiving inspection practices for trending defective product.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Able to read, interpret and work from engineering drawings, blueprints, and other technical data
- Familiarity with Systems Integration Assembly Processes/ J-Standards
- Root Cause and Corrective Action Engagement
- Inspection and Testing Procedure Development
Education/Certifications:
High School diploma or equivalent
Experience:
A minimum of 5+ years of Aircraft related Quality Assurance experience
A minimum of 5+ years of aircraft maintenance experience
Physical Requirements:
- Occasionally required to stand for extended periods of time
- Frequently required to sit, and to reach to use computers and other office equipment
- Constantly required repetitive movements of wrists, hands, and/or fingers
- Constantly required to lift up to 15 pounds
Security Clearance:
- Ability to obtain/maintain a Secret DoD clearance, U.S. Citizenship required.
