QA Manager: Contractor
Kaizen Analytix LLC, an analytics services company, is seeking a qualified QA Manager. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality control, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to upholding the company's reputation for excellence. Responsibilities and job requirements are below. This role requires an estimated 40 hours/week commitment for approximately 6 – 9 months.
As a Quality Assurance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance with industry regulations in our production processes. You will oversee quality control procedures, and work closely with production teams to maintain the integrity of ERP, SaaS and Custom solutions.
Responsibilities:
Candidate will be responsible to
- Define and setup the overall QA program for application development and IT infrastructure
- Set and monitor quality measurement KPI's and metrics, and implementing process improvements off the back of trends and insights
- Lead program reviews and advises others on the design of the process both in the field of quality assurance and the quality of the development process within programs
- Define the environments required, appropriate tooling, roles and skills and the quality process given the overall development process within program (with support from relevant leads)
- Identify areas for process improvement within the production workflow and collaborate with relevant teams to implement corrective actions and preventive measures.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes, IT quality, and overall efficiency
- Foster effective communication between the quality assurance team, production teams, and other relevant departments to address quality-related issues promptly.
- Identify potential risks and implement risk mitigation strategies to prevent quality- related issues.
- Deliver capability assessment/audits, benchmarking, reporting and evaluations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand software requirements and create test plans.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts for web and mobile applications.
- Work closely with developers to understand application architecture and design automation frameworks that integrate with continuous integration pipelines.
- Participate in the review of product requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
- Identify and report software defects, ensuring accurate and detailed documentation.
- Track issue resolution and retesting.
- Coordinate tester activities.
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, tools, and techniques related to test automation.
- Build long-term, strategic relationships at C-level and maintains a strong understanding of the clients' industry and business
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience as a QA Manager (8+ years) working within IT and Business testing functions and has strong experience in QA, cloud system architecture/infrastructure
- Experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG).
- Experience with JIRA, Asana
- Knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Familiarity with Agile (Scrum) methodologies
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- ~25% On-site presence

- ASQ Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE) are a plus
