JOB OVERVIEW
Conducts a wide range of quality control tests and analyses to ensure that software meets or exceeds specified standards and end user requirements. Drafts, revises, and approves test plans and scripts to ensure alignment with standards and IT strategy. Creates test data files with valid and invalid records to thoroughly test program logic and verify system flow. Coordinates with users to plan user acceptance testing, alpha, and beta testing. Ensures that system tests are successfully completed and documented, and all problems are resolved.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Collaborate with your team to develop a complete testing strategy
- Excel in an Agile environment as a member of a cross-functional team that owns its own work from refinement through delivery and monitoring
- Encourage and advocate team ownership of software quality
- Assess and mitigate risks that have an impact on the quality of the products we build
- Utilize/update existing automated scripts to assist in testing
- Analyze, prioritize, and triage customer reported issues and provide debugging support to the Client Services team
- Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems.
- Conduct, but not limited to functional, usability, integration, regression, security, smoke/sanity, white box and performance testing
- Diagnose, triage, and report system defects
- Analyze test results to ensure functionality
- Create SQL scripts to validate data
- Work cross-functionally with others to ensure appropriate follow-through on issues
- Must be well organized and flexible with project and product timelines
- Will be responsible for maintaining various testing environments and test data
- Strong problem solving and trouble shooting skills
- Function independently with oversite from direct manager
- Able to conduct white box testing
- Develop, execute, and report load and stress testing plans
- Provide estimates and risk analysis on various projects
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum Education Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 4+ years relevant experience
REQUIRED SOFTWARE EXPERIENCE
- Experience with test automation and/or test case management tools
- SQL
