About the Role:
Neurocrine Biosciences, Inc. (NASDAQ: NBIX) is offering the opportunity to gain GXP experience in the world of biotechnology. Our intern program offers exposure to computer software assurance practices to support electronic system deployment and maintenance intended for regulated activities. The Quality Assurance teams have a wealth of industry experience as well as a strong reputation in the industry for collaborating with wider business operation groups.
Your contributions (include, but are not limited to):
  • Help with manually updating/loading validation documentations in Veeva Validation Management
  • Help with PAR
  • Scheduling of work, collection of data
  • Update/maintain the PAR systems list with new information during collection of data
  • Help with running metrics currently in-place and working with IT for any new proposal metrics
  • Help with ad-hoc assignment (administrative report/information gathering/follow up communication etc.)
  • Supporting a range of activities, including document support activities
  • Collect and compile historical and current data to develop metrics for presentation and department review
  • Scanning and uploading documents and records
  • Creating training materials
  • Interacting with various areas within the company
  • Help with upkeeping the CSV SharePoint site with new information provided by management (including metrics, industry related materials, etc.)

Requirements:
  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree with an interest in biotechnology
  • Prior experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry would be an asset but is not required
  • Familiarity with biopharmaceutical technologies, physical and life sciences, product development, and regulatory approval processes is desirable
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to think creatively and be a team player
  • Offer flexibility with a willingness to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Bring to the Company a skill set complementary to its technology and development therapeutics
  • Ability to commit to a 10-week, full-time summer program
