The Travel Marketplace team needs a Sr. QA Automation Engineer to help ensure the highest quality of product for the Hopper mobile application.
The Travel Marketplace team is overseeing the whole app experience for Flights, Hotels, and Cars, as well as the home page and Trips hub.
This role is an opportunity to have a massive impact on the overall quality of the Hopper mobile app.
What would your day-to-day look like:
- Execute regression testing to verify that software changes and updates do not introduce regressions or break existing functionality.
- Manually test mobile applications on various devices and platforms (iOS and Android) to identify defects, inconsistencies, and usability issues.
- Report and document those defects, providing clear and detailed descriptions, steps to reproduce, and relevant information for developers.
- Verify defect fixes and work closely with the development team to ensure issues are resolved effectively.
- Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using mobile automation frameworks (e.g., Espresso, XCUITest, Appium) to ensure the quality and reliability of mobile applications.
- Collaborate with software developers and product managers to understand application requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for testing.
- Participate in test planning activities, providing input on test scope, test strategies, and testing timelines.
- Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies by sharing feedback and insights with the team.
- Stay informed about industry trends and mobile technologies to ensure testing practices align with the latest advancements.
An ideal candidate has:
- Experience implementing and executing automation tests using Espresso, XCUITest, Appium, or similar tools
- Experience writing tests plan for features impacting millions of users
- Worked in Agile delivery teams and environment
- Excellent verbal and writing skills

$140,000 - $180,000 a year
The yearly total compensation for this position ranges from 140 000$ to 280 000$. Compensation will be determined by candidates' relevant qualifications, knowledge, skills and work experience. Total compensation will include a solid base salary and will also include equity (options / RSUs), sign-on bonus and other potential incentives.
