Job Description
We are looking for a qualified individual to join our in-house testing team for a 6-month contract that can be remote within the US. The QA Analyst will work closely with the QA team and other disciplines to test the game. This person will identify testing needs, create plans, and execute tests. Join us to help the team identify and think through problems to find the best solutions.
In this role, you will…
- Execute and develop comprehensive test plans, including test case design and execution, to ensure the quality and performance of our video game
- Conduct thorough and systematic testing to identify, record, and track software defects and inconsistencies using an established bug-tracking system, ensuring accurate documentation and timely communication with the development team
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of quality assurance processes, methodologies, and standards
- Provide constructive feedback on gameplay, user interface, and overall user experience, contributing to the enhancement of the gaming experience and player satisfaction
- B.S. in computer science or game design/development
- 5+ years’ experience in testing with 2+ years of QA Analyst experience within the video game industry (PC)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and communicate technical issues effectively
- Understanding of software development lifecycles, testing methodologies, and best practices in quality assurance
- Experience with test plan development and documentation
- Experience with test automation
- Ability to emulate end-user experience and test accordingly
- Knowledge of Agile (SCRUM, XP, etc.) Development process
- Proficiency with Jira or other Agile project manager tools
- Self-motivated
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Knowledge of C++, C#, SQL, and/or Python
- Game testing experience on one or more AAA titles
- Debugging experience using Visual Studio
- Experience with Azure Dev Ops
- Experience with Perforce
