Position: Junior QA/GIS Analyst

Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated Junior QA Analyst with a foundational understanding of Geographic Information Systems (GIS). This role is ideal for someone eager to dive into the world of spatial analytics and contribute to the quality assurance of cutting-edge technology. The candidate should be passionate about quality, analytics, and working in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and executing detailed test plans and test cases based on system requirements and technical documentation.
- Conduct thorough testing to identify, record, and resolve bugs and defects.
- Work closely with the development team to ensure quality and usability of our spatial analytics tools and applications.
- Provide clear and concise bug reports and assist in managing the lifecycle of issue resolution.
- Gain a solid understanding of GIS concepts and applications relevant to our technology.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent project execution and quality.
- Continuously learn and apply QA methodologies, tools, and processes to improve testing efficiency and effectiveness.
- Participate in review sessions to provide feedback on system requirements and technical documentation.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Ability to write clear, concise bug reports and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical team members.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Eagerness to learn, adapt, and thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Basic understanding of GIS concepts and applications.
- Preferred: Experience with database management systems.
Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Geographic Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field. Previous internship or working experience in QA testing or a related field is a plus.
