The Purchasing Representative will coordinate with the Vice President of Supply Chain to facilitate all purchasing activities for Kaiser Premier LLC and will serve as the vendor liaison for materials required to support optimal operations in all aspects of administration, production, and parts and service. This individual must drive quality purchasing techniques and processes, monitor vendor activity, and anticipate stock requirements in coordination with the materials planning system.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensures accurate processing and data maintenance for all purchasing transactions
- Analyzes vendor performance using a supplier metrics system to ensure consistent, high-quality vendors and materials
- Sources new and alternative vendors and materials to guarantee best pricing and availability
- Maintains material data with respect to release for purchasing, pricing info records, primary and secondary supplier, etc.
- Assists in additional projects with respect to supply chain and inventory and is involved in other general team projects
- Fosters a team spirit working with other team members to accomplish tasks
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS/EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (preferred)
- Minimum of one year of related work experience required
- Must have strong human relations skills and the ability to work with people from all backgrounds and cultures, internally and externally, with ability to resolve business issues
- Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks and projects in a timely and efficient manner
- Strong planning, organization, and coordination skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred)
- Experience & knowledge of materials used in the manufacturing such as metal alloys, hydraulic components, pumps & valves, rubber/hose components, etc (preferred)
COMPENSATION
Salary Range: $50,000 to $75,000 depending on prior experience
