Position Summary
We are looking for a new colleague to join our team in our Purchasing and Supplier Department at our location in Gray Court, South Carolina! The intern will assist in tracking costs, negotiating, and maintaining agreements with suppliers.
Responsibilities
- Assist in actively identifying cost savings and promoting competitiveness through VA/VE methods, quoting, negotiating, etc
- Gain knowledge of the worldwide supply base using ISO/TS 16949, VA/VE methods and other measurements
- Assist buyers by ensuring that Scheduling Agreements, Purchase Orders, and other pricing policies are maintained and updated
- Assist in keeping timely maintenance and updating of tracking tools
- Gain knowledge of Supplier Management/Supplier Development/Supplier Assessment
Qualifications
- Must be actively pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited college or university
- Must be local to the Gray Court, SC area
- Must have a minimum of a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
