Job Description
SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Supply Chain Manager, the Purchasing Clerk is responsible for assisting in the
management and procurement of parts, supplies and services critical to running plant operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:
1) Duties:
Orders parts for production machines.
Schedules repair/preventive maintenance projects.
Sources and orders parts in breakdown/emergency situations.
Maintains stock of spare parts for machines repairs.
Works with all 3 shifts in maintenance department to ensure correct parts are ordered.
Work closely with Production Managers to order replacement parts for normal wear and tear
replacements and raw materials.
Maintains inventory of tools for operators (PPE, utility knives blades, measuring tapes, scissors,
screwdrivers, etc.)
Coordinate with vendors for building maintenance issues such as HVAC, Air Compressor, plumbing
issues.
Collect work orders/time sheets and full-service reports after all Technician visits.
Track shipping of orders.
Receive, count and sign shipping/packing slips for parts.
Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent; one to two years of related experience and/or training helpful.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are generally Monday through Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm
with a 30-minute meal period. Other hours as needed in response to business requirements, evenings and
weekends are possible.
