Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Purchasing Assistant. As a Purchasing Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our purchasing department by assisting with various tasks related to procurement and inventory control. This is a full-time position with opportunities for growth and development.

Duties:
- Assist with the procurement process, including sourcing suppliers, obtaining quotes, and negotiating contracts
- Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, invoices, and other purchasing documents
- Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with the materials management team to ensure optimal stock levels

- Monitor Shipping & Receiving Materials
- Utilize MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems to track and manage inventory
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and resolve any issues or discrepancies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as production and finance, to ensure smooth operations and cost-effective purchasing decisions
- Assist in analyzing market trends and identifying potential cost-saving opportunities
- Support the purchasing team in various administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a purchasing or procurement role preferred
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Suite systems for purchasing activities
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

- Knowledge of supply chain processes and materials management principles

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
