Automation Personnel Services is looking for a hard-working Purchasing Agent- MRO Specialist for a company based in Atlanta, GA. In this role, you will primarily be responsible for sourcing and selecting suppliers that meet company quality and pricing standards. Analyze and evaluate vendor performance, including quality, delivery, and pricing. Work closely with the purchasing team to understand the MRO requirements. Identify and implement cost-savings initiatives, including supplier consolidation and negotiations of volume discounts.

Pay Rate
$22.00 - $32.65 per hour D.O.E

Schedule and Hours
Monday through Friday, 7:00AM to 4:00PM (or) 8 00AM to 5 00PM.

Purchasing Agent- MRO Specialist Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.
- Source and select suppliers that meet company quality and pricing standards.
- Support the sales team with MRO quotes.
- Issue purchase orders through to completion, including invoicing.
- Maintain accurate records of purchase, inventory, and related data. Ensure that all transactions comply with company policies and procedures.
- Analyze and evaluate vendor performance, including quality, delivery, and pricing. Take corrective actions as necessary.
- Work closely with the purchasing team to understand MRO requirements and ensure that all necessary supplies and services are available when needed. Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives, including supplier consolidation and negotiation of volume discounts.
- Develop and maintain metrics and reports to track purchasing activities and performance.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by management.
Purchasing Agent- MRO Specialist Education and Experience
A bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field is
preferred

- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, with a focus on MRO materials and service.
- In-depth understanding of MRO materials, equipment, and services commonly used in industrial settings.
- Familiarity with maintenance practices, repair processes, and operational requirements related to various industries.
- Proficient Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience in working with purchasing software.
- Knowledge of inventory management principles and techniques
- Knowledge and Experience in purchasing Fasteners, Welding Rods, and Electrical Supplies.
