Job Title: Purchasing Administrator (contract)
Location: Union City, CA (on-site)
Compensation: $35-$38
Job Responsibilities:
Review purchase requisitions, analyze requirements, and place orders to meet department needs.
Evaluate vendors, negotiate contracts, and maintain purchase agreements.
Interview salespeople, evaluate products, and work with engineering on new designs.
Monitor market trends and notify management of price changes or availability issues.
Locate new sources of supply to ensure production flow.
Resolve problems with suppliers and expedite orders as needed.
Maintain accuracy in the Epicor system and department records.
Prepare reports on cost savings, quotes, and project analysis.
Participate in company programs for quality improvement and cost reduction.
Visit vendor facilities and recommend process improvements.
Process daily purchase orders, resolve discrepancies, and manage vendor returns.
Attend meetings to provide delivery dates for critical components.
Approve inbound freight records and control costs.
Follow ISO procedures and perform other assigned tasks.
General Responsibilities:
Actively participate in training and development programs.
Set goals with manager and seek ways to improve quality and productivity.
Maintain cleanliness and safety in the work area.
Report equipment or process abnormalities.
Perform backup functions and engage in cross-training.
Perform other duties as assigned.
