Pumping Unit Service Tech

Job Summary:

We are looking for a motivated Pumping Unit Service Technician to join our team. In the role of Pumping Unit Service Techthat is based out of our Arengard Shop, you will primarily focus on servicing and maintaining Pumping Unit equipment in the field. Your work is pivotal in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of Pumping Unit units, performing repairs, and upholding equipment to industry standards.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Perform regular maintenance and servicing of Pumping Unit units to ensure their proper functionality.
• Identify and resolve equipment issues, carrying out necessary repairs.
• Maintain and clean equipment on a routine basis.
• Facilitate safety assessments and safety meetings before commencing maintenance tasks.
• Maintain accurate records of service and maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with team members and management to ensure efficient operations.
• Adhere to all company safety and operational policies to maintain a secure working environment.
• Demonstrate visual acuity, hearing, speaking, reading, and writing skills necessary for safe task execution.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Proficiency in maintaining and servicing Pumping Unit equipment.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Dedication to safety and adherence to company protocols.
• Basic math skills for common calculations.
• Professionalism and motivation to complete assigned tasks.
• Familiarity with the equipment and tools commonly used in Pumping Unit maintenance.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective interaction with team members and management.
• Knowledge of safety and maintenance procedures within the oil and gas industry.

Education and Experience:

Basic:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Must pass a drug screen, MVR check, and background check pursuant to local, state, and federal rules.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in maintaining and servicing Pumping Unit equipment.

Preferred:

• Additional certification or training in equipment maintenance and servicing.
• Valid Class A CDL.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job (but are not limited to).

The employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, or crouch for extended periods of time, unassisted. The incumbent must wear a respirator when required. Manual and finger dexterity and hand-eye coordination sufficient to operate industrial machinery are required. This job also requires full range of body motion to include handling and lifting. The incumbent must repeatedly lift and/or move up to 65 (SIXTY-FIVE) pounds unassisted. Visual acuity, hearing, speaking, reading, and writing must be adequate to perform all required tasks in a safe manner.

Work Environment:

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Work is usually done outdoors and sometimes at a client facility or job site and is frequently performed in inclement and/or extreme weather conditions. The incumbent is exposed to moving electricity, mechanical parts, vehicles, equipment, and hazardous materials. This position regularly requires long work hours and frequent weekend work.
