Pump Assembly Mechanic

Summary: To build pumps and other assemblies for customers to produce the best, highest quality product on time to meet and exceed customer expectations while maintaining a safe, efficient, and cost-conscious environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

• Assemble new Goulds Pumps, Xylem, and AC pumps
• Build Municipal kits and other Assemblies as assigned
• Ensure paperwork is completed correctly
• Stay current on safety issues regarding assembly operations
• Other duties as assigned by management

Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 1-2 years related work experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills: Must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Mathematical Skills: Must be able to perform basic mathematical equations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, use of whole numbers, and percentage and decimals.

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic computer skills and internet software knowledge.

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations: Must have a valid driver's license and no points.

Equipment Operated: Forklift, hoist, crane, hand tools, power tools, drills, band saw, drill press, lathe mills, and other equipment deemed necessary to fulfill the job's functions.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include being able to accommodate/adjusting the lens of the eye to bring an object into sharp focus and maintain a good field of vision, observing an area that can be seen up or down or right or left while eyes are fixed in a given point.
